Artist Biography
Rafandi Mij Nasir (rafalukis) B. 1998, Singapore, is an intergalactic, multidimensional, interdisciplinary artist based in Singapore.

With experience in a variety of mediums from digital illustration to pen and markers, his works are a creative expression of his experiences as a queer person combined with fantasy elements. Core features of his work are the human body and fun imaginative fiction, which are tools to inquire about issues regarding gender and sexuality. His distinctiveness as an artist is influenced by pop culture and game characters who instill a sense of confidence and empowerment. Drawing from a variety of sources, he engages in the notion of constant flux with his environments. In his universe, Rafandi playfully explores the colors and images inviting the audience to imagine and leap into his unique world.

Rafandi is a graduand with Diploma in Fine Arts from LASALLE College of The Arts in 2023. During his time in LASALLE, he is able to learn and develop, pursuing his passion for figure drawings, graphic novels, illustrations, and graphic design. Besides the things he loves, he manages to gain experiences with public presentation skills and also engage with the community within the art spaces. Working with his classmates in group projects has always been the toughest part during his Lasalle journey as group projects aren't really his forte but with resilience and good communication, he managed to share his ideas with his peers while also upholding his standards in his practices.
